Our central fire pit is more than just a place for warmth—it is a living altar and the pulsing heart of communal life at Yaku Spiritual Center. We designed this garden space to serve the many faces of the fire element.
It is a place of celebration and joy, where we gather in a circle at night for drumming, dancing, and sacred songs (Icaros) to celebrate life together. Simultaneously, this space is fully functional for the practical needs of jungle living. The fire pit is adapted for open-fire cooking and roasting, imparting an unmistakable flavor to our communal meals.
During ceremonial preparations, this space transforms into an alchemical workshop. Here, the fire serves to boil traditional herbal baths and prepare plant medicines, strictly honoring the ancient ways of working with this powerful element.
